Add a YouTube a video
Overview
This article will show you how to embed a YouTube video in your website.
Who has access:
- Website Administrators
- Department Level Users
Instructions
1. Go to your YouTube video, located at the bottom of the video there will be a share button, click share.
2. Within the popup box, you will see an “Embed” option, click Embed.

Copy the embed code (Control + C), then in the next step you will paste this code into the website where you would like the video to appear.
4. Go to the page of the website, calendar event or news story where you would like this video to appear. Next when editing the content, select the basic text option view
5. Place your cursor at the end of the text and Enter to the next line. Paste in the embed code, then switch back to Rich Text Editor view, and press Save/Publish/Update Article and you will now see the video.
This is one of the few times that you will NOT use the “paste as plain text” button to paste when you are working with an embed code.
